I found this last week, and it's in great shape. Solid, thick, very flexible, no damage. It arrived with considerable cigarette smell, so I suspect it was being used regularly.
I am told these were used on tables as a surface for playing cards. Is this correct? I've included cards in the photo to show the piece's size. Does anyone have more info on these promotional tabletop mats, or this absinthe maker? Are these particularly interesting as collectibles? I took a chance, as I thought it would make a nice centerpiece on the table
for placing glasses, carafes, spoons and brouilleurs upon at parties when I don't use a fountain.

It's not easy to find one in sutch a good condition, beside the "considerable cigarette smell"
Usual denomination for these is "tapis de cartes", whitch means that they were used by people to play cards in the bars.
But you can also use them as a towel under cleaned but wet glasses
