Sevil !! of course I did. I got it at the end of last week and that is how we started the weekend. It was very nice and it is now a must have in the house, I hope it is not a limited run but just in case I might have to start my own Sevil absinthe cache'

I continue to explore the calvados world, tonite it's domestic so I'll call it what it is, apple brandy named Cornelius Apple Jack, it is from the Hudson Valley in New York. It is a fine brandy, tastes young, decent apple flavor, small batch distilled (something good about those small distillers in N.Y.). It does pale in comparison to a good french calvados, but if you want to try a decent domestic, it is a good start, after all, N.Y. is one of the largest apple producers in the country and someone should know what to do with all those apples . |

Freeze-distilled or just distilled?

Hi there Boggy, the apple brandy was made from distilled hard cider, unaged, and not even the distiller would dare call it calvados. Since this is another day, warm, bright and clear, I went for la Maison Fontaine
