I am known for such actions-it is just 1 am in Poland
 Not that armagnac, but that: http://www.v-c.vc/tessendierusa/ducdubreuil/ourbrandies.html I know they all sound similar: marquis, duc, pere, etc, etc. Regarding that armagnac in question, I have had a whiff and must say armagnac smells different than cognac/brandy. There is something smoother in the aroma, but more fiery in the taste. Duc de Breuil is really exceptional, it has a solid wine aroma with strong, earthy aftertaste. -------------------- «Une constitution qui est faite pour toutes les nations n'est faite pour aucune.»

Tonight La Belle Amie a very herbaceous and very good absinthe.
Hello Boggy i would really droop your Zubrwsinthe i'm really interresting by it and your other absinthes . I'm not a big fan of vodka but i like Zubrowka  it is really diffrent from the others vodka and very good well done  !!!

I'm enjoying a Perroquet, oak barrel. I'm about to move out to the front porch with my lady, and enjoy this glass in the cool evening breeze, after a long hard day.

Now we are going to have "Sauvage" and then compare the armagnac I had last night, vintage 1980 bottled 2007 with one that has the same vintage but bottled in 2009, see if 2 yrs. in the wood makes any difference. |

Armagnac Marquis de Caussade is superb. Not yielding that fiery department as Delord VSOP which I acquired as well, but close and very comparable. In fact, it is more profound in the profile than cognac or better quality brandy. Whereas the first connotation cognac makes is an old aristocrat sitting in his palace, sipping golden liquid and discussing politics, armagnac-knowing its origins, brings us back to the times of knights having put their armour on were taking a crafty swig of liquid fire and getting ready for a crusade to bathe their swords with blood of the infidels-thus, making politics!
