The earliest Legendre Herbsaint labeled bottle to turn up, so far. (Before the familiar Herbsaint logo in red was added to the label)
This bottle dates the first half of 1934.

Over 30 bottles, plus six from Legendre's Drugstore.

To have one that is not empty is pretty hard to find, to have two is almost unheard of.

I saw one on eBay recently but it looked empty. Legendre Absinthe was that clear?

The one on eBay was empty, the one on the right ( obtained privately) still has a quarter of a bottle. (The absinthe labeled ones rarely turn up, and I have a list of known survivors)
The color of the content on the right is dead leaf, though I have some mini's that are still green. I may quit now. Hi Jay! Here's my only example, and I remember you telling me it was 1930s. Empty, but I love it! You told me these were often given out as samples on trains, if memory serves!

Yes, that one is 1934 mini with the first version of the Herbsaint label, around 1935 the red bar with Herbsaint in block letters was added to the label.
Legendre sold quite a lot of mini Herbsaint bottles as a way to get the product out in different areas, to expose Herbsaint to the public. The mini bottles were sold on trains in the bar cars, before air travel became big. The first two I found in 2000, I let Ted get to analyze, then Oxy beat me on the next one, after that I became rather relentless in pursuing Herbsaint items.  The first mini I snagged was same label, but still full. The first full sized Herbsaint bottle I obtained back in early 2001, was kept by a lady after she, and her then new husband finished the contents. She kept the empty bottle for many years because she said it looked so nice. (I've been collecting the stories of these things too) A better shot of the ancient ones.
