I had my second go-round with St. George while planting some tomato and pepper starts with my girl (and she was having some Duplais blanche). The George does not remind me of "salad dressing" as I've heard a couple of folks describe it, although it does have a spicy sourness to it. Although I've only had two glasses of this absinthe so far, it seems that it actually benefits from a little extra water, which isn't something I can say about most absinthes.
And Rob, we're having some pulled pork BBQ of our own tonight. Memorial Day weekend must be the subliminal trigger

Sounds nice Jay, I find St. George goes well with Italian appetizers or Greek bits of yumminess...it has that sage/basil overtone, that can be off-putting to some. Perhaps that bit of extra water (4.5:1 - 5:1) might tame the herbal edge a bit.
Me, I'm drinking Belle Amie, and enjoying it tremendously. Cheers my friend!
