Hmm... it's in English.
That book was published multiple times after its initial publication. I have two editions in French. I know someone who has an English edition, printed in Philadelphia I think.
Strictly as an antique, I have no idea of its value. The information it contains has a certain value for absinthe distillers, but that's possibly less than it used to be, because I long ago translated the sections of the French version that deal with absinthe, for the use of the English speakers, and those translations have become widely enough distributed that those people can find it at no cost if they want it. Also, as absinthe distillers have gained personal experience, Duplais doesn't carry the same (assumed) authority that it once did. But the book deals with much more than absinthe and may well be desirable to an American distiller. A French speaker may well prefer the French editions for obvious reasons. I can pose your question in an American absinthe forum for you if you'd like.
