La fameuse chromolithographie de 52 x 62
cm basée sur une toile de Charles Maire
(1845-1919) pour l’Absinthe Pernod Fils était
à l’époque fixée sur une toile, vernie, puis
encadrée directement dans l’usine Pernod
Fils de Pontarlier comme on le voit sur cette
carte postale. Le but était de la faire
ressembler le plus possible à une vraie
peinture à l’huile. Cependant ces chromos se
cm basée sur une toile de Charles Maire
(1845-1919) pour l’Absinthe Pernod Fils était
à l’époque fixée sur une toile, vernie, puis
encadrée directement dans l’usine Pernod
Fils de Pontarlier comme on le voit sur cette
carte postale. Le but était de la faire
ressembler le plus possible à une vraie
peinture à l’huile. Cependant ces chromos se

retrouvaient accrochées dans les bistrots au milieu des buveurs, des fumeurs et des joueurs, et 90% de celles
qui ont survécus sont très abimées au niveau de l’encadrement et de la toile, souvent déchirée. Celle-ci est en
très bon état à part un petit accroc en haut du journal (voir photo) restauré il y a très longtemps et peu visible,
ainsi que 2 ou 3 autres touts petits accrocs et enfoncements qui n’ont pas déchirés la toile et qui sont très peu
visibles. Le cadre Pernod Fils (la marque figure en bas en relief) est en excellent état bien que repeint avec un
mélange de couleurs or et argent (à l’origine le cadre Pernod Fils est de couleur vert pale et or). Libre à vous de
le laisser tel quel ou de le repeindre dans les tons d’origine.
De part notre expérience il est plutôt rare de trouver cette chromolithographie dans un tel état, prête à être
accrochée sans aucune restauration (si ce n’est la couleur du cadre facilement changeable). Port gratuit.

postcard. The aim was to give it the appearance of an original oil the best possible way. However, these chromos were to be found hanging
in bistros among drinkers, smokers and players, and 90% of the surviving ones are much damaged on the frame and/or the canvas, often
torn. This one is in very good condition except for a little 4cm tear on top of the newspaper (see picture) restored a long time ago and not
