Absinthe Carafes, Pichets & Topettes
Carafes and water jugs were a very common café accessory. They often bore the name of the drinks manufacturer -
those with specific publicity for absinthe are highly sought after.

Water pitchers (
pichet in French) were often made in fanciful zoomorphic shapes - those specifically intended for use
with absinthe can be identified by their very small spout, often only a few millimeters across. These are collected not
just by absinthe specialists, but also by French majolica (
barbotine) collectors.

Topettes were used to measure out the absinthe. They came in various sizes with the dose, or number of shots of
absinthe, being indicated by the number of rings.
